Obituary

William J. Kempton Jr. a 4 year resident of Stoneham and a former lifelong resident of Charlestown died suddenly on Sunday April 23, 2006 at his home in Stoneham. He was 33 years old.

Billy was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where he attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1990. He was a member of the Charlestown High School Varsity Hockey Team for 3 years and following his graduation, he attended Bridgeton Academy in Maine for one year where he also starred in hockey. Recently he had been a staff member at The Charlestown Life Focus Center in Charlestown where he worked for 10 years.

Billy is the beloved son of William J. and Sandra M. (Crimmins) Kempton of Stoneham. He is the devoted brother of Mark T. Kempton and his fiance Jennifer Ray of Stoneham. He is the loving grandson of Dorothy Crimmins of Dorchester. He is the beloved nephew of Lorraine Hilden, Mary Kempton, John, Joseph and Stephen Crimmins. Billy is the loving friend of Melanie Marsden and special friend of James Gillen.

Billy's Funeral will be held on Thursday April 27, 2006 from The Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 9 am. followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Catherine's Church 49 Vine St. Charlestown at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Billy will be held on Wednesday April 26, 2006 from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
