Emmanuel Adonis, a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, was born on July 17th, 1954 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. While there he attended: Haiti Lycée Toussaint L’Ouverture High School. A true lover of life, he enjoyed playing soccer, going out with family and friends to listen to live music, playing dominoes, and meeting new people.
On September 19th, 1979, he arrived in the United States to join his mother Genevieve and his siblings. Later, he married the love of his life, Nadia and they settled in Boston, MA and had three children: Natalie, Synthia, and Steven. He worked at the Boston Globe and Polaroid before becoming a bus driver for Boston Public Schools in 1994 where he worked for almost 27 years.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, watching sports, laughing, and smiling no matter what obstacles he faced.
On Thursday, January 13th, 2022 after over a decade of battling a multitude of health challenges, he was called home by the Lord.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Nadia, his three children: Natalie, Synthia, and Steven, his siblings: Marlene, Bernadette, Carlo, Etrenne, Catherine, and the late Rodolphe and all of their children.
Viewing hours will be on Friday February 4, 2022 from 9-10 AM followed by a Religious Service from 10-11:30 AM in the Boston Missionary Baptist Church located at 336 Dudley Street, Roxbury, Ma. 02118. Burial will immediately following in Fairview Cemetery located at 45 Fairview Ave, Hyde Park, Ma.
