William J. Murphy ,79, of Tewksbury, formerly of Brighton, died suddenly on January 11, 2022. Survived by his loving wife Mary A (Moran). Also survived by stepson David D. Moran of Ga. and step grandchildren Colleen Hurley, Eoin Hurley and Liam Hurley. William is survived by his siblings John (Ann) of Waltham, Kathleen (James) Greer of Raynham, Joseph (Maria-Fran) of Roslindale, Frances (Jeff) Willaford of Virginia, Michael (Christine) of Wilmington, Neil (Suzanne) of Belmont, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by parents James and Mary (McHugh) Murphy. Also predeceased by his daughter Maryanne, stepdaughter Mary Ellen Hurley, and siblings James, Lorraine Vencile, Andrew, Mary Cunningham, Maurice, Robert and Helen Capello.
There will be no services at this time. Memorial Mass and burial will take place at a later date.
