Barbara Jean Reyes MacKinnon, 75, passed away on January 7th, 2022, after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 13th, 1945 in Ventura. The only child of Mary Jaye and James H. Reyes.
Barbara attended school at Holy Cross, Saint Catherines, and graduated from UCLA. Following graduation, Barbara enlisted in the U.S. Army stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco. Barbara's career started in UCLA as a pediatric nurse. She later went to work at the Jules Eye Institute and was a private nurse for Henry Fonda. Barbara is survived by one aunt and many cousins.
Mass will be recited at San Buenaventura Mission, 211 East Main Street, Ventura, on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
