Ann Connelly Rutherford, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, January 14, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Gary Mimbs officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Rutherford was born May 12, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Lee O. Connelly, Jr. & Odell Cox Connelly. She was a seamstress for H.R. Kaminsky & Sons and Y & W Sportswear. Mrs. Rutherford loved yard work and cooking. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was a helping hand in the Children’s Ministry. Hers was a life well loved.
She is survived by her two children: Ann Odell Vaughn and Naomi Louise Weaver, both of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Tina Harper Mobley & Duane of Fitzgerald and Billy Vaughn & Summer of Chester, Virginia; great-grandchildren: Ruthie Mobley, Ethan Vaughn and Tyler Vaughn and a brother, Lee “Sonny” Connelly, III of Cottageville, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jack Rutherford and a sister, Bobbie Lee Connelly.
