Elaine R. (Alves) Soares of Westport, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Anna (Farias) Alves.
Ms. Soares was born in Fall River on June 30, 1943 and was a graduate of Durfee High School. She was a retiree of Aetna Life Insurance and then Tegra Medical. She loved her children very much and held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great granddaughters. She loved her soap opera's, reading, playing cards, word search and dominos.
Elaine is survived and will be missed by her children: Ronald M. Soares, Jr. (Lisa), Joanne Soares (Wayne), Heath A. Soares and Robert Soares (Shelby) as well as her late son John M. Soares (Maria); grandchildren: Amanda L. Soares, Kyle Soares, Michael Soares, David Soares, Aaron Soares, Dylan Soares, Tyler Soares (Sam), Heather Johnson, and Kolby Patenaude; 2 great granddaughters: Natalie Rose Soares and Amelia Rose Soares.
Siblings: the late Edward Alves, Alfred Alves (Edith), the late Francis Alves (Arlene), Doris (Alves) Carpenter (Antone) and Gerald Alves (Betty); as well as multiple nephews and nieces.
Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
