Robert K Harris, 83, of Plymouth passed away on January 9th, 2022 at home with family. Born in Brockton, on June 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Clifford and Ida (Paulding) Harris.
Bob graduated from Brockton High School in 1956. He was retired from the Whitman Fire Department in August of 1998, where he spent 31 1/2 years; he began his Firefighter career in March 1967 as a Call Fire Fighter, became a Firefighter in August 1967 and was then promoted to Lieutenant in February of 1988.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend his time camping, fishing and hunting with his family and friends.
Bob was the loving husband of JoAnn Harris of 38 years; predeceased by his daughter Nancy Brown (wife to Fred) of Willowick, OH and his sister Gloria Fortin of Brockton; loving father of Robert Harris Jr (and wife Tami) of Taunton, Richard Harris (and fiancé Susan) of Abington, John Harris of Clinton, Christine Quersher (and husband Shawn) of Middleboro, and Chris Le Moing of Middleboro; loving brother to Clifford Harris and his wife Sheila of Brockton and Marjorie Richards and her husband Walter of Brockton; and a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews and dear grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
All are welcome to calling hours on Friday, January 14, 2022 4-7pm at Blanchard Funeral Chapel on Plymouth St Whitman, his funeral service Saturday January 15, at 10 am at the Chapel and burial at Plymouth County Cemetery, Plymouth.
