Alexis Serrano Santana, 39, was called home on January 4th in Worcester, MA.
Alexis was born in Caguas, P.R., son of the late Francisco Serrano of San Lorenzo, P.R., and Luz Santana of Gurabo, P.R. and moved to Worcester in his teenage years. He received his education in P.R. and worked for the Valkyrie Company for many years. Alexis worked as a barber which was his true craft and was well known and loved by his community.
He was a devout New York Yankees fan, also enjoyed music and singing, although his singing was nothing to write home about. He sang until his heart was content. He was a dedicated son, brother, uncle, partner and above all a loving father to his daughter Bahsia, his greatest joy.
Alexis is survived by his mother Luz, his 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Francisco Serrano, of San Lorenzo, P.R., Barbara Serrano, of Connecticut, Mariluz Serrano and her husband Juan Castillo of Worcester, M.A., and Carlos Serrano, Gurabo, P.R., his daughter Bahsia Tobey, of Worcester, M.A., and his partner in life, Marcy Johnson, of Worcester, M.A., and many loving nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours on Thursday, January 13 from 5 to 8 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester.
