Obituary

Stephanie Lynne McMahon, 35, formerly of Franklin, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, January 7, 2022 after years of declining health.

She was born March 6, 1986 in Newton Ma, daughter of Catherine (McDonald) McMahon and Peter J McMahon. She was part of the first graduating class at the Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School (BFCCPS)and a 2004 graduate of Franklin High School.

Stephanie loved acting, writing, poetry, singing and dancing. She had a flair for the dramatic and anything that sparkled. She loved all animals and nature. She was proud to be considered an activist. She wanted to save the world and all its critters. She could often be found either feeding her birds or watching them through her window. Her perfect day would be “Somewhere on a Beach” on the Cape. She loved music and concerts, especially Aerosmith and her “country boys”. She loved her TV shows. Her DVR was full of Supernatural, Criminal Minds, Law & Order, and reality TV. She loved her “very own kitten”, Molly, and her shih tzu, Joe.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Deidre and Philip Bassignani of Franklin, and her niece and nephews, Caoilinn, Michael and Joseph Bassignani. She also has many cousins.
She loved, and was loved by, her Nanny, Aunt GooGoo and Aunt Chrissy.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, January 15th from 2pm-4pm at Oteri Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin MA.

Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beaver Street, Franklin on Monday Jan. 17th at 1PM.

Donations may be made in Stephanie’s name to any animal rescue organization of your choice or to the Neurofibromatosis Clinic at Mass General Hospital.
