Rita (Blanchet) Laferriere Boyd, 93, of Goffstown, NH passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022. She was born November 24,1928 to Joseph & Regina Blanchet in Dracut, MA. She enjoyed time with her family, music, dancing, church, driving and traveling. Her bright smile, kind heart and vibrant fashion style were unforgettable.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband Alcide C. Laferriere who passed in 1961 and 2nd husband John J. Boyd in 2000. She is survived by her daughters Carol Phelps and Jeanne Miley, son Alan Laferriere and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great-great grandson, cousins, and many other family & friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Hillsborough County Nursing Home for their exemplary care during her residence. Private services will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ.org), or to a charity of your choice.
