Muriel E. Plummer, 80, of Londonderry, NH died Saturday, January 8, 2022, at All American Assisted Living in Londonderry. She was born in Nashua, NH on April 29, 1941, the daughter of the late Lewis and Elsie (Goodwin) Marshall. Muriel was a member of the Londonderry United Methodist Church for nearly 60 years attending church regularly. She was an active member of the women’s group, Jubilee Circle, and sat with the children in the nursery while their parents attended the second church service. If the church held a function to raise money, she would always bring and donate her famous apple pie. She was an avid Red Sox fan and took her late husband’s place cheering them on during each of their games. She was able, over the years, to attend some games in person with her late husband. Muriel also had a fondness for all kitties.
She was a resident of Londonderry since her marriage in 1962. Her late husband used to say no matter how long you live in town you will never be like me, a native.
After graduating from Alvirne High School in 1959 she became a licensed cosmologist, working at a couple of places, lastly, George’s Hair Styling in Nashua. She married her husband in 1962 and worked until she had her first child in 1964.
She is survived by her son, Peter A. Plummer and his wife Pamela of Londonderry, her daughter, Laurie A. Johnson and her husband Douglas of Londonderry, five grandchildren, Briana O’Connell (with first great-grandchild on the way) and her husband Eric, Clark Plummer, Trevor Plummer, Cody Johnson, and Gage Johnson, a brother, Arthur L. Marshall and his wife Cheryl of Hudson, NH, and a sister, Trudy A. Marshall of Londonderry. She also leaves behind two aunts, several nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter N. Plummer in 2000.
