Obituary

Paul P. Plante, of Stirling Drive, Harmony, an operating engineer for Local #57, died Saturday, April 22 at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of the late June B. (Griffiths) Plante.

Born in Harmony, he was a son of the late Omer and Lucille ( Plante) Plante. He had been a resident of Harmony his whole life. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member and former Fire Chief of the Harmony Fire Department. He was the founder of the Wheels to Meals Van and was a volunteer driver for the Glocester Senior Meal Site.

He is survived by a daughter, Paula B. Plante, a son Gary F. Plante both of Harmony, two sisters, Pauline Patenaude of Johnston and Adele Desjarlais of Pascoag and uncle of Jody Munroe of Uncasville, CT. He was the brother of the late Eduoard M., Edgar, Bertrand and Philippe Plante, and Rena and Claire Quellette.

Funeral Thursday at 9:00 am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am in St. Eugene’s Church, 1247 Putnam Pike, Glocester. Burial in Highland Park. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Glocester Sr. Center, c/o Glocester Town Hall, 1145 Putnam Pike, Glocester, RI 02814.
