David Lloyd Bentley, Jr., 79 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Bentley at a later date.
Born August 8, 1942, in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, Mr. Bentley was the son of the late David Lloyd Bentley, Sr. and Florence Burrell Scott. Before retiring, he was a Class A Journeyman electrician with General Motors. He loved his children and grandchildren and he loved to restore trucks. He was a member of of Abundant Life Baptist Church in Troy, Missouri.
Mr. Bentley is survived by his wife, Phyllis Crawford Bentley of Eldon, Missouri; four sons and two daughters-in-law, John and Tonya Bentley of Leesburg, Jeremiah and Valerie Bently of Tallahassee, Florida, Joshua Bentley of Warner Robins and James Bentley of Sylvester; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan Bentley of Pineview, Kristen and James Wilson of Albany and Desiree and Tonaha Wallace of Ocilla; one step-daughter and her husband, Stephanie and Frank Desario of Osage Beach, Missouri; one sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Darwin Dibble of Elmira, New York; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
