Jerrold David “Jerry” Lurie of Chelsea, MA entered rest on Sunday, January 9th, 2022. He is survived by his son, Arthur Lurie and daughter-in-law, Lisa Lurie of Newbury, Massachusetts and his son, Benjamin Lurie of Beverly, Massachusetts, former husband of Paula (Ross) Phipps of Revere as well as grandchildren Phillip Lurie and Ray Lurie. Loving son of the late Phillip Lurie and the late Celia (Oretsky) Lurie. Brother of the late Steven Lurie, Ronald Lurie, Eunice Freedman, Marshall Lurie, Burton Lurie and Ira Lurie. Jerry graduated from Northeastern College of Pharmacy, Member of Alpha Zata Omega Fraternity. Jerry was the Co-Owner and Pharmacist of Beaconsfield Pharmacy in Brookline, Massachusetts for approximately fifteen years then Owner of Crescent Pharmacy in Chelsea, Massachusetts for many years until his retirement. Also, a member of Walnut Street Synagoue, Chelsea. Several years thereafter were spent in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Over the years he enjoyed boating, fishing and his volunteer work and many friends at Leonard Florence Cohen Estates in Chelsea, Massachusetts, where he also lived in his final years. Services will be on Tuesday, January 11th at 10AM at Torf Funeral Service-151 Washington Ave, Chelsea, MA Interment will be at Agudos Shalom Cemetery, Everett.
