Waymon Shrouder, 77, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Ben Hill County.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Eastside Holiness Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Rob Merritt and the Rev. Larry Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald.
Mr. Shrouder was born December 17, 1944, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Elbert Elisha and Rachel Rowell Shrouder. He was a 1964 graduate of Fitzgerald High School where he met and married his highschool sweetheart, Nollie. The two shared 57 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories. As a very successful entrepreneur, he owned and operated Waymon's Service Station, the local Sears franchise, and was a longtime farmer. In addition to owning his own businesses, he was also a master welder with the Fitzgerald Water Light & Bond. Waymon enjoyed all things outdoors but found his greatest pleasure in loving his wife, girls, and grandchildren. He attended Eastside Holiness Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nollie Shrouder of Fitzgerald; daughters and their spouses: Lisa & Chris Sward of Cartersville, Pam & Scott Haskins of Tifton and Tammy & Steve Sellers of Wray; grandchildren: Tanner Ewing, Logan Ewing, Allie Ewing, Austin Haskins, Amanda Haskins, Anna Sward, and Lilah Grace Sellers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Ruth Bishop and Doris Young; and a brother, Billy Shrouder.
