Obituary

Catherine Elizabeth Kitson passed away on December 23, 2021 at Royal Health in Braintree, Ma., at the age of 85. Catherine was born on November 16, 1936 to her wonderful parents the late James Bovill of Barbados and Dorothy Hubert Bovill of St. Kittsrespectively. Catherine grew up in Boston Massachusetts. She was a middle child and sister to now deceased brothers,Ernest Bristol(Edest Brother) and Richie Bovill Sr. Youngest Brother). catherine graduated from the Boston Public School System. She then became a licensed cosmetologist. She met and married on September 19, 1959 the late Edson A. Kitson. They cherished their 57 years together as husband and wife.

In the early 60'satherine dedicated her life to Jehovah God and symbolized her dedication by water baptism. Shortly after baptism Catherine began her lifelong career of sharing the Good News of God's Kingdom with everyone she met. Catherine loved to help people understand what God's purpose was for them and desired to help them learn Bible truths. She spent endless time as a regular pioneer(fulltime ministry) knocking on doors, distributing magazines, and conducting bible studies. Catherine's love for people and her love for Jehovah God were demonstrated faithfully as a regular pioneer for well over 45 tears. Catherine's lifelong goal of serving and maintaining her integrity to Jehovah extended of 36 years. Catherine was an awesome wife , loving and devoted mother, great aunty, and real friend to so many. She had a sassy, sophisticated , yet strong personality. She was mother to many. Grand Ma to even more, and a friend to many others. To know her is to know she would call you "Popie" with no hesitation as a label of her extra extension of love. She will always be remembered by a host of spiritual sons, daughters, grandchildren, and other various family members.
Catherine is survived by her two children: Keith Kitson Sr. & Perrita Kitson-Bryant: grandchildren Keith A. Kitson Jr. and Keby Kitson; son in law Anthony L. Bryant; sisters -in-law Margaret Bovill, Patricia Bristol, Beverly Joyce Reed, Roxie Cunningham, and Monica Duret; Brothers-in-law Glen Beason, Garnett Beason, Andy Duret, Nate Cunningham, and Bob Hawkins(deceased); nieces Rhonda Bovill, Maple Reid Wallace, Cathy Morrison, Sharon Reid, Thea Reid, Marcia Angela Bookal Manoy, Sharon Beason, Jackie Beason, and Patricia Morrison (deceased), nephews Courtney Reid, Horace Reid, Jimmy Reid, James Bovill, Lance (Skeeta), Lord(Monica), Richie Bovill Jr.(deceased), Troy Morrison (deceased) and Romeo Patrick (deceased), Grand Nieces, Tania Morrison, & Simone Bookal.




Relatives and friends are invited to attend viewing hours on Thursday January 13, 2022 from 11-12 PM followed by a Religious Service from 12-12 :30 PM, and a talk via Zoom from 12:30-1 PM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home located at 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, Ma. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery located at 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, Ma. 02131
