Marguerite Theresa Roake (Barrett) of Walpole, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 3, 2022 at the age of 92. Loving daughter of the late Patrick & Margaret Ellen Barrett of County Galway and Jamaica Plain. Beloved wife of the late William F. Roake of Somerville. Loving mother of Kathleen Raywood and her husband Geoffrey, Michael Roake and his wife Mary, Brian Roake and his fiancee Velicia Gourdin and Laureen Burnett and her husband David. Loving Nana to Geoffrey, Andrew and Matthew Raywood, Barrett, Daniel, Aedan and Hunter Roake and Barrett's wife Melanie. Loving Great-Nana to Forrest and Finnegan Roake. Loving sister to Patricia "Tish" Naughton and Frank Leahy and sister in law to Helen and John Brinton and Helen Barrett. Also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral from the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Tuesday January 11 at 9:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Jamaica Plain at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Monday Jan. 10 from 4-7 pm. All in attendance will need to wear a mask throughout the service. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery. Due to concerns about weather and the current state of the pandemic, the family plans to celebrate Marguerite with a luncheon/gathering sometime in the Spring.
