Carl A. Bettano Sr. passed away on January 4, 2022. He was 67 years old.
Born in Boston, Carl was a longtime resident of Malden and most recently resided in Methuen. Carl loved gardening and spent countless hours planting his flowers. He looked forward to doing more of it during his retirement.
Carl was the former husband of Janet Ellen (Lacey) Bettano. He was the son of the late Carl “Nunu” and Lena (Corrao) Bettano. Carl was the loving father of Chris J. Bettano and his wife Amylee of Methuen, Carl A. Bettano Jr. of Methuen and the late Michael A. Bettano. He was the dear brother of Charles Bettano and his wife Linda of Tewksbury and Vincent Bettano and his wife Barbara of Salem, NH. Carl was the loving and cherished Papa of Lena, Michael and Gianna Bettano who he adopted and cared for. He was the uncle of Lisa Flavin, Kimberly Bettano, Jennifer Todesca, Scott Bettano, Brian Bettano and Krysten Reynolds.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden, on Wednesday, January 12th at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s of Padua Church, 250 Revere Street, Revere at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 11th from 4-8 pm. Interment will be private.
