Daniel Joseph Wiggins passed away at his home in Ventura, CA on December 27th at age 64, after a two year battle with advanced prostate cancer. He was born in Burbank and grew up in Glendale with 6 brothers and sisters.
He worked at SoCal Edison for over 25 years and made the most of his retirement. Just in the past year he went on an Alaskan fishing trip where he caught dozens of fish, and visited the Porsche Experience Center where he got to speed around the track in a 718 Cayman.
Dan loved traveling (especially to Hawaii), his several vintage cars over the years, and progressive rock. He will be remembered as warm, humble, and dependable. Neighbors loved his happy and helpful demeanor, always greeting them with a smile on his many daily walks with his dog Roxie.
He was a natural in fatherhood and loved his wife Barbara of 34 years, and his two children, Dylan and Rita more than anything. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild, due this June, and would have undoubtedly excelled in the role of Grandpa, too.
