Richard I. Taylor, Jr., 60, of New Bedford died January 1, 2022 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the husband of Steven P. (Verrier) Taylor.
Born and raised in New Bedford, son of the late Richard I. and Dolores M. Griffith) Taylor, he lived in Derby, CT for 20 years before returning to New Bedford.
He was formerly employed as a civil engineer with the City of New Bedford and later with Fairfield University and Clarion University until his retirement.
Survivors include his husband; a brother, Robert Taylor and his wife Joyce of new Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Lynne Taylor and Mark Taylor.
His private arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
