Francis (Frank) J. Cabral
May 12, 1944- December 22, 2021
Francis J. Cabral, 77, of North Dartmouth passed away on Wednesday December 22,2021 at St. Lukes hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Suzanne (Motta) Cabral. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Tobias and Mary (Costa) Cabral.
Though Frank lived most of his life in New Bedford with his family, he spent over 40 years driving long haul 18-wheeler trucks all over the country and owned his own trucking company JKG Enterprises for 32 years. After retiring from his business, Frank worked for a couple construction companies & enjoyed driving dump trucks and in his words "give the young guys a run for their money” His favorite pastimes were spending time with family and going to the racetrack to race his 81 Camaro known as Papa’s Toy. He also loved to ride his motorcycle, work on his truck, collect train sets, Nascar, Football, music, and enjoyed traveling with his wife and bringing his family to Disney.
Frank had a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He would put on a tough exterior but was a big teddy bear when it came to his grandkids. He was so Proud of all his children and grandchildren. He was a bit of a prankster and would love to play jokes. He had a laugh and an energy that would have the whole room laughing along with him. He never hesitated when it came to dancing with his wife whether it was at a party or in the kitchen. He was always there to help anyone who might need it. He loved to tell stories and give lessons to his children, grandchildren or anyone else who would listen. Frank will be remembered as being one of a kind and a legend. He was spontaneous, loving, witty, funny, intelligent & you never knew what could happen when you were with him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his loving wife Suzanne,he is survived by his children; Karen Raposo and her husband Tony, Jamie Cabral (predeceased), and Gregory Duguay, his grandchildren; Shana Seney, Cassandra Seney, Lauren Cabral, Anthony Cabral, Brett Duguay, Kelsie Breton, Cameron Duguay, Logan Duguay, Ayden Duguay, Brianna Raposa,Chelsea Dingham, his great-grandchildren; Jordan, Hayleigh, TJ, Bradley, Jaxson, Alexander, Ezekiel and his brothers Tobias Cabral and John Cabral (predeceased).
