Mildred (Hardman) Sullivan, 96, of New Bedford, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was the wife of the late John J. Sullivan.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late James F. and May (Goodwin) Hardman, she lived in New Bedford all of her life. She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Mrs. Sullivan was formerly employed as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital until her retirement. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing.
Survivors include 3 children, Joann Sullivan-DeCosta and her husband Michael of Dartmouth; Daniel J. Sullivan of New Bedford; and David Sullivan of Arroyo Grande, CA; a sister, Phyllis Robert of Dartmouth; 4 grandchildren, Erin, Matthew, Hannah and Paige; 3 great-grandchildren, Jack, Owen, and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Bertha Hardman and Marian Duhamel; and mother-in-law of the late Ann Sullivan.
Mildred's services will be private.
