FISKDALE/SPENCER: Janet L. (Fico) Potmesil,85, of Crescent Way, died Tuesday, Jan. 4 at her home.
She leaves her husband of 62 years, David S. Potmesil, her son Edward D. Potmesil and his wife Mary of Fiskdale, and her daughter Kimberly Bockus and her husband George Bockus, Jr. of Windham, ME., her grandchildren; Tai and Jennalee Potmesil, Josh, and Joelle Bockus.
Janet was a secretary at Anthony Boccarossa Nationwide Insurance in Norwalk, CT before retiring in 1988. She later volunteered at Mary House in Spencer for many years.
Born in Port Washington, NY, she was the daughter of Alfonso and Stella M. (Borkowski) Fico and lived in Spencer for 30 years before moving to Fiskdale in 2019.
Janet loved cooking, baking for her family, crocheting, dancing and listening to Polish music. She was a former member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish in Spencer.
Private services for Janet were held in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with burial in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary, Queen of the Rosary Memorial Fund, 49 Maple St., Spencer, MA. 01562.
