Miller, Elinor A. (Culnane) 92, of Cotuit, formerly of Dedham, passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on January 3, 2022.
Elinor was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Miller and devoted mother of Janis Johnson and her husband David of Stamford, CT, Carol Callinan and her partner Michael Harney of Hanover, Barbara Ferriter of Dedham, Paul Miller and his partner Caroline Owen of Wayland, and Lisa O’Connor and her husband Todd, of Dedham. She was cherished by her grandchildren Christopher, Jimmy, Jaclyn, Laura, Alexandra, Jillian, Joanna, Cally, Cole, Kyle, Kira, Brynn, and Andrew, and her three great-grandchildren, Jameson, Clara, and Ava.
Elinor’s greatest joys included spending time with her family on the Cape, especially at Fourth of July celebrations, swimming at the Hyannis YMCA, riding her sit-down lawn mower, and attending the Highfield Theater every summer and church luncheons throughout the winter. Elinor was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan who loved nothing better than to recap games with her grandchildren.
For the past several years, Elinor rescued many senior dogs from shelters. It is safe to say she considered these four-legged friends her family.
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Saturday, Jan. 8, from 8:30-9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
