Cecile M. Pinder Schneider, 87, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 after a long and bravely fought battle with cancer. She was born August 26, 1934 in Lachine, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Armand and Jeannette (Pilon) Desforges.
Cecile is survived by her daughter, Susan Pinder, and her partner, Doris Steinhardt, both of Londonderry. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Mia Pinder and her daughter in law, Lindsey Tuttle - Pinder, both of Manchester Center, VT. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Alan Pinder; her son, David Pinder; and her second husband, Russell Schneider.
Ms. Pinder Schneider led an active and full life. She was an active member of St. Jude’s Parish Women’s Guild and Crafters. She was an avid golfer, outstanding cook, and also enjoyed skiing. She had many adventures, including living on their sailboat and participating in a sailboat race from Cape Cod to Bermuda with her late husband, Russell.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Elliot Hospital, Mount Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Bentley Commons for their compassionate care over the last several months.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd, Londonderry, on January 24, 2022 at 10:00 am. The burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Stowe Hill Road, Wilmington, VT at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics of Vermont, or to the Manchester & Southern NH VNA Hospice. The Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements at this time.
