Donald Edward Wight, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at his home in Worcester.
Don was born in Everett, MA, on May 16, 1944. He was the son of the late David and Hazel Wight. Don was the middle of three children raised in Natick, with his two brothers, James Wight and John Wight.
Don loved the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. His strong faith and love for our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, are evident to all who knew him. Affectionately called "Dad Wight" by many, his commitment to sharing God's love was endless. We all loved his giant bear hugs and tear-filled prayers.
Don is survived by his wife of 53 years, Constance (Smith) Wight; his son Derek Wight and wife Xiomara of South Glastonbury, CT, his daughter Renee Hellmuth and husband Kevin of Attleboro, and daughter Fawn Lynde and husband Mark of Addison, NY; his grandchildren Caelah-Beth (Wight) Butler and husband Landon, Derek J. Wight, Bruce Hellmuth, Gretchen Hellmuth, Kaylee Lynde, and Jenna Lynde.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Liberty Churches (495 Hartford Turnpike Shrewsbury, MA 01545). On Friday, January 7, 2022, at 1:00pm a funeral service will be held at Liberty Churches.
