New Bedford – Louis J. Bourassa, age 72 of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2021 at Boston Medical Center. He was the former husband of Janice (Medeiros) Bourassa and Gina Mello.
Louis was born in New Bedford, MA and was the son of Dorothy (Norcross) Billington and the late Louis J. Bourassa, Sr. He had been a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years.
He is survived by his children, William Razado and his wife Susan Razado, Christopher Bourassa, Joshua Bourassa and his wife Alyssa Viens, Louis J. Bourassa III and his wife Crystal Barksdale, John Bourassa and Eli Mello; his sister, Theresa Pitsley; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his late son, Greg Walker and his late siblings, Marie Bourassa, Pete Bourassa and Gerald Bourassa.
His visiting hours will be held with his cremains on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. There will also be a Church Service on January 22, at First Church of the Nazarene on Hathaway Rd at 10:00 A.M.
