Shirley M. King passed away on January 1, 2022. She was 92 years old.
Born in Malden, Shirley grew up in Melrose and was a longtime resident of Lynn. She had worked as a registered nurse for the City of Cambridge for many years. Shirley loved listening to music, singing and playing Bingo. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Patriots and the Red Sox but her greatest joy was taking care of animals.
Shirley was the loving and treasured friend of Patricia Sasso of Lynn, her daughter Armanda McCleary of Abington and her children Maya and Luke McCleary. She was the sister of the late Barbara Comeau and her late husband Thomas and the aunt of Shirley Emmons and Thomas Comeau of Tucson, AZ.
Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden, on Thursday, January 6th from 10-11 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
