Tomigene Grantham Kent, 85 of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, January 1, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Harris Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends form 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Kent was born February 10, 1936, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Clifton Eugene & Bernice Corine Dickerson Grantham. She worked as a seamstress for Champion. She was avid in fishing and camping and loved working in her flowers. She enjoyed exploring old cemeteries and was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy & John Neal of Fitzgerald; grandson, Mark & Dorinda Treadwell; great-grandchildren: Kendall Treadwell, John Marcus Treadwell, Briley McKayla Treadwell, and Hunter Wayne Treadwell; and a great-great-granddaughter, Zoe Blair Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus G. Kent.
