Patricia A. (McGowan) Clifford, age 95, of Norton, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and care of her adoring family on Friday, December 31, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas R. Clifford, Sr.
Born in Boston, MA on October 8, 1926, she was a loving daughter of the late Thomas E. McGowan and Lillian (Reedy) McGowan McNeil.
Pat grew up in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and was a graduate of High School of Practical Arts in Boston. She had made her home in Norton for the past thirty-five years and prior to retiring, was employed for many years as a clerk.
She was a member of the Norton Senior Center and a former member of the Old Colony Yacht Club in Dorchester. Pat’s family was truly the essence of her life. She was as an outstanding cook and baker, for which nobody ever left her home hungry. When younger, she enjoyed traveling to Ireland and the Caribbean’s and will always be remembered for her kindness and love to the dogs and cats that frequented her home throughout the years.
She was the devoted mother of Elizabeth A. Nagle and her husband Robert of Florida, Janet O’Keeffe of Norton and the late Thomas R. Clifford, Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of Kari-Anne Kelly, John T. Nagle, Jennifer L. McLaughlin, Jessica A. Nagle, Mollie L. O’Keeffe and the great grandmother of Isabelle, Jonathan, Genna, Shane, Rowan, Noelle, Allison and Brendan. She was predeceased by her siblings and is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as her best furry friend “Nemo”.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her graveside funeral service on Wednesday, January 5th at 11:00 A.M. at New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street, in the Mattapan section of Boston.
