Stanley Leroy Combee, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside memorial services will be held 1 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Oklahoma Cemetery in Wilcox County, Georgia. The family will greet friends after the service in the church.
Mr. Combee was born June 4, 1960, in Ashburn, Georgia, to the late Council “Peanut” & Mary Alice Lamb Combee. Mr. Combee was a forklift driver for American Blanching. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved animals and especially his two dogs Bella and Buddy. He was a true “Country Boy”.
He is survived by his five sisters: Patricia C. Hall of Blackshear, JoAnn Webb & Bernon of Sylvester, Sandra Birdwell & Charles Thomas of Orange Park, Florida, Virginia & William Van Holton of Norman Park and Mary Laverne & EC Yarberry of Douglas; and a special niece and caregiver, Peggy Peterson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive, along with a host of other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death, his wife, Shena Combee; a brother, Charlie Franklin Combee; a sister, Shirley Ruth Combee; two nephews: Jason Holton and Bill Holton and great-nephews: Logan Wilkerson, Michael Moore and Jessie James “BamBam” Harris.
