Obituary

Worcester – Edward J. “Pepe” Richard, 75, of Worcester died in his home on Saturday April 22 after an illness.

Mr. Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years Patricia (Colby) Richard; a son David Richard of Alfred, ME; three daughters Lynda Richard, Tina Richard and Lisa Richards all of Worcester; two brothers Alfred Richard of Holden and Timothy Richard of Worcester; three sisters Florence Richard of Worcester, Janice LaPlume of Oxford and Jeanne Richard of Worcester; six grandchildren Faith, Sonya, Jessica, Nathaniel, Heather and Sean; three great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Richard is also predeceased by a son John Richard and a sister Dolores Couture who both died in 2003. He was born in Worcester son of Edward and Yvonne (Auger) Richard.

Mr. Richard worked as a mattress fabricator for many years at Spring Air Mattress Company and later at Best Rest Mattress Company. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and enjoyed fishing, home repairs, antique cars, gardening and painting.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday April 25 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Monday April 24, from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.

The family requests that donations be made in Mr. Richard’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice in lieu of flowers.
