Obituary

Samuel R. “Sam” Pasquantonio 71, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Thursday December 30, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family, following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Paula A. (Bassignani) Pasquantonio, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.
Born November 30, 1950, the only child of the late Frederick F. and Carol J. (Woodward) Pasquantonio, he was a lifelong resident of Franklin.

He was raised and educated in Franklin and graduated from FHS Class of 1968. While in high school he loved playing baseball, even hitting a home run out of Fenway Park on July 18, 1968 while playing for the Milford Legion. Sam was recruited by the LA Dodgers, but he declined their offer to enroll at Bryant University where he received a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement.

As a proud American he served as a private in the United States Army National Guard, he was awarded the expert badge for grenade, and sharpshooter. Received an honorable discharged in 1971.

Sam worked many years in Milford as a mortgage consultant until he found his passion in Real Estate and moved his career to Berkshire Hathaway in Franklin where he excelled, receiving multiple awards for his sales.

Sam was a larger than life guy, who was devoted to his wife, children and friends. On any Sunday afternoon you could find Sam cooking sauce “gravy” and meatballs. In the summer he loved spending time on Martha’s Vineyard with family and friends showing them how to  quahog and making the best “stuffies”. Sam always had a love for horses, working with his father at the Foxboro race track when he was younger which led him to a love of watching horse racing. In the summer you could find him trackside in Saratoga Springs.

You could often find Sam hanging with the guys down at the local coffee shop.

Anyone who knew Sammy knew he was always whistling, half the time you knew he was in the room before you even saw him.

In addition to his wife he leaves his children, Paul F. Pasquantonio of Franklin and Toni A. (Pasquantonio) Tohati and her husband Akos Tohati of Franklin.

He was the father of the late David T. Pasquantonio.

He was quick to fall in love with his grand pup Trudi who loved him dearly.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
