Dana B. Taber, 73, of New Bedford died December 27, 2021 at Tremont Nursing Home after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Sandra A. (Giammalvo) Taber.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Kenneth E. and Dorothy (Patenaude) Taber, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Taber was formerly employed as a diesel technician at Penske Truck Leasing for 20 years until his retirement.
He was an avid bowler and he enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren, family and friends.
Mr. Taber served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Trisha Taber of Tewksbury; 2 brothers, Kenneth Taber of New Bedford and Gary Taber of Newbury; a sister, Linda Taber of Deland, FL; 3 grandchildren, Lindsay, Alyssa and Dayna Lynn; 8 great-grandchildren, Chace, Oliver, Beckett, NoraAnn, Raelynn, Jaiden, Aliyah and Logan his little man.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Gail Hartley.
His private arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
