Mrs. Lynn Faford Riggs, 70, entered into rest on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
Lynn was the daughter of the late Stanley and Evelyn Holcomb Faford. She was a graduate of Litchfield High School, and The Boston University School of Fine Arts, with a degree in Music Education.
Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Lee C. Riggs; children, Rebecca Lynn Johnson (Andy); Dr. Christina Lee Riggs Romaine (Dan); and grandchildren, Drew, Evelyn, and Samuel Johnson and Piper and Lola Romaine. She is also survived by her siblings, Marge Morran (Jerry) and Claire Rossi (David).
As a pastor’s wife, she supported her husband’s ministry and contributed to each church’s ministry through her own giftedness as a musician and an educator. During their 23 years at the First Baptist Church of Greensburg Indiana, she was the founding director of the Church’s Preschool and Kindergarten which went on to become the Good Shepherd Christian Academy. She was loved and respected by her students and their parents.
Most importantly, Lynn was a Christian with an unwavering trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Throughout these last years of her progressive disease it was her expressed desire that her life would continue to “bring praise to God.”
