Madeline Mary (Ferullo) Albanese, age 90, of Medford passed away on Sunday, December 26th. Raised and educated in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Filomena (Colecino) Ferullo. Madeline lived for a short time in Malden before settling in Medford 57 years ago. She was employed for 50 years as a bookkeeper and took pride in the fact that she worked well into her 70's. Madeline loved spending summers in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire with her family. A very happy and positive person, she always uplifted others, making them feel special.
Madeline was the beloved wife of the late Vincenzo Albanese, and the devoted mother of Vincent Albanese and his wife Judith, Diane Olimpio and her husband Joseph, and Steven Albanese and his wife Nancy. She was the loving grandmother of Cory, Shayna, Christopher, Steven, Benjamin, Amanda, Jack, Jenna, and the late Michael. Madeline was the dear sister of the late Anna Ferullo, the late John Ferullo and his surviving wife Carol, and is also survived by five loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 4th. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 9:30 through 10 AM in the church. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
