Evelyn M. (DePina) Andrews, 84, of New Bedford died April 21, 2006 unexpectedly at home.
She was the wife of William V. Andrews, Sr.
Born in Wareham, the daughter of the late Moses DePina and Marianna (Miranda) DePina Alves, she lived Marion before moving to New Bedford many years ago.
Mrs. Andrews was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Fairhaven. She enjoyed sharing literature in the downtown area.
Mrs. Andrews enjoyed reading and listening to her favorite music.
Survivors include her husband; 3 sons, William Andrews, Jr., and Steve Andrews, both of New Bedford, and Paul Andrews of Clearwater, FL; 2 daughters, Lena Brown and Angelina Thompson, both of New Bedford; a brother, Joseph DePina of New Bedford; a sister, Laura Pina of New Bedford; her uncle, John DePina of Marion; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Sandra Andrews and Robert Andrews, Sr., and sister of the late Mary DePina, Jennie Gomes, Caroline Monteiro, John DePina, Sr., and Anthony DePina.
Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 25th from 4-8 PM with her funeral service Tuesday at 7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
