SANDLER, Joyce Marie of Norton, formerly of Hyde Park, died on December 24, 2021 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA from complications from an aggressive leukemia. Beloved wife of Michael Sandler.
Sister of Jack Williams of Florida. Dear friend of Carol Rhodes of Dedham, and Elizabeth Backstrom of Somerville.
She was born in Boston on May 22, 1948 and attended Hyde Park High School and Boston State Teachers College. She graduated with a degree in elementary education and a Masters in Special Education. She met her husband Michael in college and had a life long love affair of 54 years. She loved to quilt and do art work and was deeply religious. She loved to travel to exotic places like Costa Rica, Hawaii and the Caribbean. She was a gentle and sweet person loved by many. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home 456 High St. Dedham on Friday, December 31st from 8:30-9:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
