David F. Gibney, 39, of Derry, NH, died Sunday, December 26, 2021, in Manchester, NH. He was born in Phoenix, AZ on July 27, 1982, the only child of Denise (McClure) Christoni and the late James Christoni. David proudly served as a member of the U.S. Army. He was employed at Integra Biosciences in Hudson, NH.
Nothing compares to the day a mother lays eyes on her beautiful red headed boy for the first time. David was the sweetest boy growing up and played baseball from the time he was 5 through high school. He was often told he was a mama’s boy, but he was proud of that, and nothing made his mother happier than how close they were. David grew up and went to school in Salem, NH. He was a talented artist and could draw just about anything. His sense of humor and smile could melt your heart. David adored his father Jimmy and was hit very hard when he passed. His daughter Sophie was the true love of his life. David would want people to celebrate his life, to remember the happy times they shared and to remember that most of all he loved them.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his daughter, Sophia Gibney, his grandmother, Ruth Alexander, and his girlfriend, Katie Roberts.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021, from 2:30pm to 5:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry.
