Richard David Lima Sr. 77, of Franklin died December 24 at Milford Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was the husband of Theresa J. (Henry) Lima for the past 58 years.
Born in Taunton, January 5, 1944, the son of the late John and Virginia (Rose) Lima, Mr. Lima was raised in Taunton and had lived in Franklin for the past 56 years.
Richard had worked for the Clark, Cutler & McDermott Company in Franklin for over 40 years , retiring as foreman.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all Boston sports. He mostly enjoyed his Grandson’s sports and never missed a game. Pa was their happiest and biggest fan.
Richard is survived by his wife and his children, April Lima and her partner Kim Young of Taunton and Richard Lima and his wife Chrissy of Wrentham Ma.
He is also survived by his siblings, Veronica Donnelly of Taunton, Violet Mezzadri of Milford and Lenny Lima of Brockton.
He was the brother of the late Virginia Booker, John Lima and Irving Lima.
Richard is also survived by his grandchildren, Cameron and Zachary Lima. He’s also survived by his Granddogs and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, December 31 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at Noon. Burial will be in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 10:00-Noon.
Face Coverings are required to enter the funeral home.
