Antonio R. Sousa, 74, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the son of the late Ernesto and Olivia (Rodrigues) Sousa.
Mr. Sousa was born in Faial, Azores and had been a longtime resident of New Bedford. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, he worked as a machinist for the former Calvin Clothing, New Bedford.
Survivors include his 2 nephews: Glenn Sousa and Gary Bienvenue, both of Westport; and his niece: Suzette Bienvenue of CA.
He was the brother of the late Maria Olivia Bienvenue and Jose R. Sousa.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:30 A.M.
Interment to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 P.M.
