Vincent Louis (Vincenzo Luigi) Ferdinando, 96 of Derry, NH passed on Monday December 20, 2021, peacefully at home. He was born on April 15, 1925 in Manchester, NH and was a son of the late Louis and Minnie (Jones) Ferdinando. Vincent was raised and educated in Derry and graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1942.
Vincent grew up on his family’s homestead in Derry, and was a founder and an owner of J & F Farms Inc. for over 70 years. He logged over a million miles driving tractor trailer for the family business all over New England and Southern Quebec. Vincent was a former member of the Derry zoning board. He loved being at his family’s camp in Maine and enjoyed traveling. Vincent was an active, lifelong member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Derry. His whole purpose was to glorify God. Vincent’s life was a testament to his trust in God.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3 vs. 5-6
Members of the family include his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Miriam (Hamilton) Ferdinando, six children, Francis Ferdinando and his wife Dianna, Phillip Ferdinando, Barry Ferdinando and his wife Gayle, Bryan Ferdinando, Jamie (Ferdinando) Brisson and her husband Robert and Gina (Ferdinando) Murphy and her husband David, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
