Rita A. (Talbot) Toussaint, 81, of New Bedford passed away Tuesday December 21, 2021. She was the wife of the late Carlton R. Toussaint.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Louis N. and Angelina J. (Tardi) Talbot, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Rita was formerly employed as a supervisor at the Acushnet Company until her retirement after 41 years of service.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Christina Starich and Sherry Toussaint; her great-grandchildren, Lillian, Nolan, Brooks, and Mila; her siblings, Claire Seguin, Anita Latulippe, Roger Talbot, Roland Talbot, Paul Talbot, and Alfred Talbot; and numerous nieces and nephews
She was the mother of the late Marc R. Toussaint, who passed away November 15, 2021, and sister of the late Jeanne Flint.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday December 30, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, New Bedford followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
