Ann L. Ryan (Culhane) of Dedham, died peacefully on December 24, 2021 surrounded by family. Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Ryan, daughter of the late Charles and Annie Culhane, Devoted mother of Francis J. Ryan, Jr and his wife Katrina of Westwood, and Mary A. Cohen of Franklin. Grandmother of Meagan Ryan and her fiancé Joshua Matthy of Worcester, Caroline Ryan of Westwood, Jackie Ryan of Connecticut, Victoria and Jonathan Cohen of Franklin. She is also survived by her sister Grace O’Connor of West Roxbury. Sister of the late Margaret Gurnon. Survived by loving nieces and nephews, William O’Connor, John O’Connor, Michael O’Connor, Ann DiTulio, Charles Gurnon and the late Edward Gurnon.
Ann was born in Dorchester, graduated from the Jeremiah Burke High School and worked for the New England Telephone Company. As a devout Catholic, Ann was a valued member of St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, and a member of St. Mary’s Sodality.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home 456 High St. Dedham on Tuesday, December 28th from 3-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Wednesday, December 29th at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
