Stephen C. Ehrlich, 76

Dateline: Norton, MA

Stephen C. Ehrlich, age 76, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep, in the comfort of his home on Friday, December 24, 2021. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Diane M. (Titus) Ehrlich, to whom he was wed on November 5, 1966.

Born in Attleboro, MA on November 5, 1945, he was a loving son of the late Paul S. Ehrlich and Janet C. (Chase) Kilburn.

Steve grew up in Mansfield and Foxborough and was a1964 graduate of Foxborough High School. During the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged on August 23, 1968 with the rank of Sergeant.

A Locksmith by trade, Mr. Ehrlich was the founder of Reliable Lock and Key which later became Integrated Security Inc. At the time of his death, he was the president and owner of Clark the Locksmith in Providence. His success as a businessman was based upon dedication, hard work and the help and support of his devoted family.

A resident of Norton for the past fifty-three years, Steve was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton. He was a member of the Associated Locksmiths of America and the Massachusetts Locksmith Association.

Steve’s family, whom he loved dearly, was truly the focal point of his life and he received much pleasure by helping others in need. He was a former New England Patriots season ticket holder and later turned his interest to being an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his wife, he was the devoted father of Michael S. Ehrlich and wife Tammie of Mansfield, Karen M. Staples of Norton, who was predeceased by her husband Anthony Staples, Sr. and the late Paul C. Ehrlich. He was the cherished grandfather of Jason Ehrlich, Matt Ehrlich, Anthony Staples, Jr., Samantha Wood and her husband Andrew, Sr. and the great grandfather of Greyson Wood and Andrew Wood, Jr. He was the dear brother of Greg Ehrlich and his wife Yvette of Oregon, Diann Jenner of Florida and the late David Ehrlich, who is survived by his spouse Phillip Senecal of Rhode Island. He was the caring brother-in-law of Nancy Titus of Mansfield and the late Patricia Titus.

His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, January 8th at 12:00 P.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial with military honors will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.

Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Stephen with a donation in his memory made to Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton, MA 02766.
