Kathy “Starr” Payne Moore, 72, of Hahira passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, at her residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Mrs. Moore at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Ben Martin will offer a eulogy. Mrs. Moore will be laid to rest at a later date.
Born December 8, 1949, in Lewes, Delaware, Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Lewis Payne and Virginia Thomas Payne. She was also preceded in death by one son, John Moore and one daughter, Sonya Cook. Before retiring, she worked for the Division of Driver’s License in Florida, Williams Investments and Sanderson Farms. She was a member of Lenox Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, John “PeeWee” Moore of Hahira; four sons and daughters-in-law, Crate and Angela Tucker of Adel, Joshua and Miranda Tucker of Tifton, Gibb and Christina Tucker of Crescent Valley, Nevada and William Moore of Greenville, South Carolina; one daughter, Michelle Moore of Greenville, South Carolina; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Janie and Michael Sargent of Glasgow, Kentucky, Rona and Benjamin Martin and Martha Payne, all of Tifton and Valerie and Kevin Packwood of Crosby, Tennessee; eighteen grandchildren, Brent Jones, John Tucker, Taylor Tucker, Laine Tucker, Bronc Tucker, Bryce Tucker, Skyanna Tucker, Haylei Tucker, Jayce Depompa, Isaiah Zielinski, Austin Butts, Brandon Butts, Remington Moore, Blade Cook, Mikey Cook, Seth Cook, Raymond Cook and Michael Cook; and two great-grandchildren, Ella Tucker and Grady Jones.
