Denise M. Margolin, 54

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Denise M. (Anderson) Margolin, age 54, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Jeffrey D. Margolin.

Born in Boston, MA on August 3, 1967, she was a loving daughter of the late Charles M. and Carol A. (Babbin) Anderson.

Denise grew up in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston and was a 1985 graduate of Madison Park High School. Along with her late husband Jeff, she worked hard for many years in the automotive industry.

Denise attended Saint Mary’s Church in and attended the Mansfield VFW. Following the tragic death of her son Corey in 2008, an Army Specialist stationed in Iraq, she diligently worked to establish the “Corey Shea Act”, which allows the parents of single veterans killed in the line of duty to buried with their children in all veteran cemeteries throughout the country.

Denise was also well-known as a supporter of veteran groups and local police and fire associations. She truly loved her family, the American Flag and will always be remembered for her kindness to animals.

She was the devoted mother of Kristin M. Taddeo and her husband Benjamin of Cumberland, RI and the late Corey M. Shea and Benjamin W. Margolin. She was the new proud grandmother of Hunter Taddeo. She was the dear sister of Scott Anderson of Brighton and Lynda Anderson of Worcester. She was the loving cousin of Renee O’Neill and her husband Thomas of Franklin, William Morley and his wife Roberta and the adoring niece of Paul Anderson and his wife Kathy of Andover. She is also survived by her four-legged best friends “Yogi” and “Chowda”.

Relatives are friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, December 27th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 28th at 10:00 A.M. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery and please arrive by 9:45 A.M.
