New Bedford – Filipe M. Rodrigues, age 61, of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Luisa (Branco) Rodrigues.
Filipe was born in Pico, Azores, Portugal to the late Manuel Oliveira and Beatrice Oliveira. He had worked as a landscaper for G. Bourne Knowles for many years.
Filipe is survived by his loving wife, Luisa Rodrigues; his daughter, Lisa M. Vargas and her husband Carlos; his siblings, Jose Oliveira, Maria Oliveira, Madalena Ferreira, Pissanta Mattos and Manuela DaSilva; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his late siblings, Manuel Oliveira and Daniel Oliveira.
Filipe’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place on Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
