OXFORD__Teresa (Werda) Kalinowski, Pasiuk, 92, of Oxford passed away with family at her side on Sunday, December 19, 2021, in UMass Memorial Hospital, University Campus. Her husband, Eugeniusz Pasiuk died in 1999 and her son, Janusz Pasiuk died in 2017.
She is survived by her children, Tadeusz Kalinowski and his wife Dorota of Worcester; daughter Grazyna LaFrance of Oxford; son-in-law John LaFrance of Sutton; brother Franciszek Werda and his wife Bronislawa of Poland; daughter-in-law Wioletta Pasiuk in Poland; grandchildren Barbara, Ania, Alexa, Andrew, Amelia and her husband Christian, Amanda, Maciej and his wife Paulina; great grandchildren, Alana, Marcel and Charlotte Grace; nieces, nephews and friends here and in Poland. She is predeceased by her brothers Klemens, Jan and Tadeusz; sisters Anna and Danuta. She was born in Bialystoczek, Poland a daughter of Henryk and Mariana (Abramowicz) Werda.
Mrs. Pasiuk worked as a housekeeper for many years at the former State Mutual Life Insurance Company. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Her life revolved around the care and love of her family. She not only enjoyed cooking, but with her creativity and love she had a soup for every occasion as well as a good-natured proverb to answer life’s many issues. She was a Babcia for everyone.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at UMass Memorial Hospital-University Campus for their great care and compassion offered to their mother during her recent illness.
The Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, MA with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
