On December 3, 2021, Charles Louis Feyh “aka Charlie" joined his sister Caroline and his brother Bill in heaven after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio, January 24, 1941 to parents William and Estelle. He attended high school in Grove City, Ohio, where he played baseball and basketball. He enlisted in the U.S Navy and retired after serving for 20 years. He continued to support the fleet, working for 25 years for the Department of Defense.
He is survived by his wife Sara David-Feyh, his children Michael Feyh, Virginia Feyh, Elizabeth Feyh and Patrick Feyh, who called their dad Marathon Charlie. His five grandchildren are Samara Reynolds, Kenny Feyh, David Feyh, Madeline Kirkegaard, and Sophie Kirkegarrd; all will remember him as Papa Charlie. He has one great granddaughter, Harmoni Feyh.
He loved being a grandfather, coaching, running, cycling, and fly fishing. He took great pride in the accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, players, runners, and friends. He was generous with his time, talents, and his resources. He coached girls basketball for 35 years and many of his players will remember playing on the Ventura Nets. He coached cross country running for various age groups. They say a coach never knows where their influence stops as it lives on in those whom they coached. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, coach, and friend and he will missed by many.
The celebration of his life will be January 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 196 N Ashwood Ave, Ventura, California.
